Spey Bank Studio occupies the former Bank of Scotland branch at 1 The Square in Grantown-on-Spey, bought and converted by artist Angus Grant and his partner Jane Candlish, who opened it in October 2022 after a nine-month renovation. The building now holds a gallery, an artist's studio and a pottery workshop under one roof. Grant, a painter and art teacher in the town, leads ceramics and printmaking classes himself, including one-day introductory pottery sessions for beginners alongside longer courses. The gallery sells work by Cairngorms-based painters, photographers and sculptors, with Grant's own landscapes, focused on light over the local lochs and mountains, forming the core collection. Free parking is available on the High Street outside. Open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm, closed Sunday and Monday.
