Steampunk Coffee Roasters occupies a converted joinery warehouse on Kirk Ports, where beans are roasted on site and served alongside a short breakfast and lunch menu. The business began in 2012 as a garage operation, when its founders roasted small batches and sold cups from a vintage campervan named Mavis at markets and events. That van still does weekend duty in Edinburgh, but the North Berwick warehouse is now the main base, with roasting equipment visible from the seating area and beans sold in plastic-free packaging for home brewing. On weekends the space doubles as a pop-up record stall run by Orange Moon Records, with new and preloved vinyl set out among the coffee bags. Outside seating looks onto the car park behind Kirk Ports, a short walk from the harbour.
