TCR Hub

TCR Hub is the base of Teesdale Community Resources, a charity that has run outdoor and community activities from Shaw Bank on the edge of Barnard Castle for more than thirty years. Its own man-made lake is used for canoeing, kayaking, and raft building, with high ropes, archery, and crate stacking also on offer across the wider grounds. Sessions are bookable by individuals, families, and groups from age seven upward, with equipment supplied and instructors running each activity for up to five people at a time, with extra hours available on request. The site also hosts corporate and school bookings, and functions as a training venue alongside its recreational programme. It is a single-site charitable operation rather than a commercial outdoor activity chain, funded partly through the fees it charges for sessions.
