The Arbor House sits on Ipswich's High Street close to Christchurch Park, run as an independent freehouse by landlady Georgina with head chef Connor leading the kitchen. Free of any brewery tie, the pub keeps a rotating line-up of local cask ales alongside craft guests, served properly cellared. The kitchen reworks British pub staples, including a lasagne and a gluten-free beer-battered fish and chips, plus a short list of house-made small plates. The building has two floors: a ground-floor bar and an upstairs lounge known as the Aviary, available for private hire, with a beer garden set out behind. The Arbor House was named Ipswich Pub of the Year 2025 by the Campaign for Real Ale and was shortlisted for two national casual dining awards in its first year of trading.
