The Fent Shop, trading as P F Day and Son, has sold dress fabric, curtain material, haberdashery and knitting wool from 41 Broad Street in King's Lynn for more than seventy years. The family-run shop stocks needlework supplies, trims and notions for dressmakers, curtain makers and crafters, with staff offering advice drawn from decades in the trade. It sits on one of King's Lynn's oldest streets, among a run of independent traders leading into the town centre. Unlike many long-established haberdashers, the business has no online shop, relying entirely on customers visiting in person, and keeps traditional opening hours through the week. It remains a rare survivor of the kind of specialist fabric retailer that once anchored most English market towns, run today as it has been for generations.
