The tearoom operates from East Dodscott Farm at St Giles in the Wood, on the edge of Great Torrington, in a farmhouse that has stood for around 500 years on a farm that has remained with the same family for more than a century. Scones are baked on site for cream teas served with clotted cream and a choice of strawberry or raspberry jam, alongside cakes, light lunches and homemade soups. Seating is split between a garden and a room warmed by a log-burning stove, reflecting its origins as a working farmhouse kitchen rather than a purpose-built café. The tearoom keeps farmhouse opening days, closing midweek on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and running from late morning into mid-afternoon the rest of the week. It operates as a single farm-based business without other outlets, drawing on produce from the surrounding land where seasonally available.
