Traquair House at Innerleithen in Peeblesshire describes itself as Scotland's oldest inhabited house, visited by 27 kings and queens, and is still a family home held with a charitable trust (SC027042). Stays include bed and breakfast, self-catering and a campervan stop-over. Also on site: Traquair House Brewery, the Old Walled Garden Café, a gift shop and malt loft, a maze, and Mass in the chapel on the last Thursday of the month, April to September.
