James and Rich began Wrexham Bean Co. from a converted garage in 2022, roasting on a 3kg Toper machine because the town had no specialty coffee roaster of its own. The business has since moved into a commercial unit on Bryn Lane, upgrading first to a 10kg roaster and then adding a 15kg machine to keep pace with demand. Every batch is profiled, cupped and logged before it leaves the roastery, and beans reach customers through a flexible home subscription as well as wholesale accounts across North Wales. Packaging carries artwork referencing Wrexham's own history and architecture. The roastery won the Made in Wales Food and Drink Award in 2025.
