Aberdeen WhiskyShop

Aberdeen Whisky Shop is an independent spirits retailer on Union Street, owned by Nick Sullivan, who opened the business in 2010 further along the same street. In 2023 Sullivan relocated into a larger unit next door, previously a Shelter charity shop, spending a mid five-figure sum to add a tasting room with a bar seating up to thirty people. The shop stocks more than a thousand bottles organised by region, including Speyside, Highland, Islay, Islands, Lowland and Campbeltown malts, alongside gin, rum, bourbon, vodka, tequila and liqueurs, with an emphasis on releases from independent bottlers rather than standard own-label ranges. Staff run tastings and private hire events in the tasting room and offer UK-wide shipping, eco-friendly packaging and in-store collection. It remains a single shop with no other branches, distinct from the separate Aberdeen Whisky and Cigar Shop on King Street. Open Monday to Saturday, closed Sundays.
