Adam Jones runs an antique and modern furniture restoration workshop from the Old Wool Barn, a former wool store converted into artists' and makers' studios off Cowbridge High Street. Access is down the lane beside Arthur John's hardware shop into Verity's Court. Adam trained at Rycotewood College, a specialist further education college for furniture restoration and design, before setting up on his own. The workshop takes on repair, French polishing, upholstery and structural restoration work on antique and more recent furniture brought in by local owners, dealers and the trade, alongside commissions for one-off pieces. Work is carried out on site rather than sent elsewhere, and customers can bring pieces in for assessment before any restoration begins. The Old Wool Barn dates its conversion to 1984, when the former grading and storage barn for the wool trade was divided into individual studios, of which Adam's workshop is one of several still in active use.
