Bramaskew Farmhouse stands two miles outside Sedbergh on the Dales Way footpath, run as a bed and breakfast by Janet Postlethwaite alongside the family's working beef and sheep farm. The farmhouse dates from the early seventeenth century and lies close to the site where the Quaker preacher George Fox is said to have stayed on his way to deliver the sermon on Firbank Fell regarded as the founding moment of Quakerism. Guests choose between an en-suite king-size double and an en-suite twin room, each with a television and tea and coffee tray; evening meals can be arranged in advance. The farmhouse looks out over the Howgill Fells and the Lune Valley, and the Dales Way passes directly through the farm, making it a stopping point for walkers on the long-distance route. Free parking and wifi are provided for guests.
