Watermill Inn &Windermere Brewing Co

The Coulthwaite family bought the old mill buildings at Ings in 1987 and opened the Watermill Inn in 1990, then added their own brewery, Windermere Brewing Company, in 2006. Following founder Brian Coulthwaite's death in 2019, his wife Alison and their sons Sam and Liam continue to run the pub and brewery together. Up to twelve real ales run through the handpulls, several brewed on site and visible through a window into the brewhouse behind the bar. The inn keeps eight en-suite bedrooms, welcomes dogs for an extra charge, and serves food alongside the cask ale in a building that still shows its watermill origins.
