Grassington Folk Museum faces the cobbled village square at 6 The Square, run by the Upper Wharfedale Museum Society, which began in 1975 when local people spent winter evenings making a relief map of the parish from a 19th-century tithe map. Most exhibits come from local sources: lead mining and craft tools, Grassington minerals including galena and fluorspar, a cobbler's bench, period costume and Yorkshire Dales Railway material. Open Tuesday to Sunday, 10.30-12.30 and 2-4.30, depending on volunteers.
