A Victorian schoolroom in the model village of Ford, hung with a series of Pre-Raphaelite watercolour murals by Louisa Anne, Marchioness of Waterford, who commissioned the building as a school for local children in 1860 and then spent 21 years painting it. The faces are those of Estate tenants, neighbours and children she knew. The original visitors' book records the Queen of the Netherlands and William Holman-Hunt. Open seven days, 11am to 5pm, last entry 4.30.
