Heritage railway run by the Midland Railway Trust, a charity that grew out of a 1969 preservation project to save a stretch of former Midland Railway line between Hammersmith and Pye Bridge. Volunteers rebuilt Butterley station using a station building relocated from Whitwell after the original was demolished, and steam and diesel trains now operate along the preserved line. The site also holds a locomotive collection and a working farm park.
