Park Farm Shop and Tearoom grew out of a working dairy farm at Walmersley, between Bury, Edenfield and Ramsbottom, run by the Lees family for several generations. What began as John and Margaret Lees's farm expanded as their six children, and later their own children and grandchildren, took on different parts of the business, from milking to running the tearoom and garden centre. The farm shop sells the family's own dairy produce alongside locally sourced meat, cheese, fruit, vegetables, juice, jam and chutney. Next door, the garden centre grows many of its own alpines, perennials, shrubs and seasonal bedding plants on site, alongside pots, tools and compost. The tearoom serves an all-day breakfast and a lunch menu of sandwiches, specials and cakes. The business closes for a week each summer and again in January so the family can take a break, a practice it has kept as the shop has grown.
