Pembroke Museum occupies the former Magistrate's Courtroom on the first floor of Pembroke Town Hall, a Grade II listed Georgian building on Main Street. Run entirely by volunteers rather than paid council staff, the museum covers the town's history from the Stone Age through to the early twentieth century, with particular attention to Pembroke's role as birthplace of the Tudor dynasty. The Pembroke Murals, painted panels depicting notable events and people from the town's past, hang in the Town Hall foyer on the way up to the collection. A children's activity corner sits alongside the main displays, and a lift gives disabled access to the first floor. Entry is free, with donations invited, and the museum recently gained full accreditation from the Welsh Government.
