Rebellion Beer Co brews at Bencombe Farm in Marlow Bottom, having started in 1993 in a small industrial unit nearby, founded by former pupils of Marlow's Sir William Borlase's Grammar School. The brewery moved to its current farm site in 1999 and now produces around 125 barrels a week using the chalk-filtered water of the local Chiltern Hills, supplying more than 200 pubs within a 30-mile radius of Marlow. A brewery shop on site sells the full range direct to the public, and open evenings with a tour run on the first Tuesday of most months. Several directors have served since the company's incorporation in 1997, and it remains under the control of its founders and their families rather than having been sold into a larger brewing group. The core range includes a year-round IPA alongside seasonal releases, and the brewery has picked up multiple Society of Independent Brewers awards over the years.
