SUUM Kitchen

SUUM Kitchen is an independent, family-run Vietnamese restaurant on Spittal Street in Marlow, opened in December 2017 by chef Nhan Nguyen and his wife. Nguyen, a Le Cordon Bleu graduate in both cuisine and pastry, builds the menu around family recipes reworked with classical French technique, moving the cooking towards a fine-dining register following a refurbishment. Expect a compact, seasonal list of Vietnamese and broader Asian dishes rather than a long takeaway-style menu, with tasting options and carefully plated small plates. It remains a single site, owner-run, and one of the more distinctive independent kitchens in a town better known for its Michelin-starred gastropubs. The dining room seats a modest number, so booking is sensible at weekends. It offers a personal, chef-led alternative to Marlow's larger restaurant names, with the owners routinely front of house.
