The Brooking family started brewing in a converted milking parlour on their farm above Start Bay, before settling into a purpose-built plant at Stokeley Barton in 2003. Mark, Sam and Olly Brooking have run it since, with Sam now leading day-to-day operations, and a dark ale in the range is named for the old milking shed where the business began. The brewery supplies more than 350 outlets across Plymouth and South Devon with cask ales, heritage cider and organic soft drinks, and holds SIBA membership as an independent producer. Its tap house at Stokeley Farm Shop pours the beer within sight of the tanks that made it, open daily with a late licence on Fridays and Saturdays. One of its IPAs took regional silver at the Champion Beer of Britain awards in 2026.
