Ruth Nevin throws and decorates ceramics at her studio at South Hooe, on the Tamar Valley border between Devon and Cornwall near Tavistock, having moved into the current building in 2025. Her tableware carries hand-drawn decoration, with hares and oak leaves recurring as motifs across mugs, platters and other everyday pieces. The studio runs single three-hour wheel-throwing sessions in a morning or afternoon slot, alongside longer ten-week courses held twice a year and shorter five-week programmes described as a more casual introduction to the wheel. Visits and private events can also be arranged by appointment. Nevin works alone in the studio, which overlooks the river, selling finished pieces directly to visitors as well as teaching newer potters through the course format.
