Tenby Museum and Art Gallery was founded in 1878 and describes itself as the oldest independent museum in Wales, occupying part of the grounds of Tenby Castle on Castle Hill above Castle Sands beach. Its permanent collection includes work by Augustus John, Gwen John and Kyffin Williams alongside local natural history and social history displays, while a second gallery hosts changing exhibitions through the year. Admission is charged, with tickets valid for twelve months from the date of purchase.
