The Butcher's Deli occupies a unit on Foundry Lane, run by Drew Nutley and Kat Watts, a Burnham-on-Crouch couple with a shared background in food and hospitality. Drew served his apprenticeship as a teenager at Wrekin Farm Shop before the pair took on Essex Hog Roasts in 2021, working across whole-animal cookery and catering. The shop butchers all its meat on the premises, cutting beef, free-range chicken and pork, alongside lamb sourced from the Essex salt marshes. A cheese counter sits alongside home-made pies, sausages, bacon and cured meats, with pâtés, coleslaws and stuffings made in house. Ready-to-cook meals are prepared to order for customers along the riverside high street. The shop supplies both individual customers and local catering trade, keeping traditional butchery skills active in the town.
