The FalmouthBookseller

The Falmouth branch of the Johns family's small Cornish group of bookshops — Ron and Marion Johns' Mabecron Books also keeps shops in St Ives and Padstow, and publishes its own locally set titles. The shop at 21 Church Street has been managed by Eloise Rowe since 2015; it runs monthly book subscriptions, book clubs, craft meet-ups and author events, and in 2025 opened a café upstairs — Above the Bookshop — alongside a small co-working room called the Study. Half a dozen booksellers work the floor.
