The ChintzSymposium

Three friends who met working at Glastonbury Festival — Franciska Earle, Duncan Bruce and Kirran Bruce — established the Chintz Symposium in 2016 in the Old Brewery Yard off the High Street: a wine bar by the measure of its bottles and boards, with cheese, charcuterie and toasties, but run as a small arts venue as much as a bar. Patterned wallpaper, mirrors and half-hidden rooms set the register; jazz club nights, comedy, poetry and burlesque fill the calendar, and the basement room, Underland, runs late most nights of the week. Open noon to midnight, every day.
