Claire owns the Green Cat Bakery, a café housed in a former carpenter's dwelling on Main Street in Eglinton village; her husband Stuart painted the artwork that hangs on its walls. The business began selling pastries, cakes and cookies at local markets before settling into its current premises. The kitchen bakes a full menu of breakfast and lunch dishes alongside cakes, traybakes and gift hampers, and takes a zero-waste approach to running the café. Wedding parties can order custom breakfast platters for pre-ceremony gatherings, put together from the same freshly prepared ingredients used on the daily menu. Seating runs both indoors and outside on Main Street. The café trades Tuesday to Saturday, from 9.30am to 4pm, and closes on Sundays and Mondays.
