Rama and Ema have run The Reindeer Inn since December 2011, in a building constructed in 1806 immediately alongside Southwell Minster. The ground floor operates as a traditional ale house serving cask ales and guest beers, while the upper floors hold three guest bedrooms plus a function room used for private gatherings. Breakfast is cooked to order each morning rather than laid out as a buffet, and past guests have noted Rama's home-cooked Indian dishes served alongside the more standard pub food. The inn sits on Westgate, a short walk from both the Minster and Southwell's small high street of independent shops. Bookings are taken directly by phone, email or messaging rather than through a large third-party booking platform, keeping the operation entirely in the family's hands rather than run through a management company.
