The Shaftesbury Deli trades from 37 High Street, close to the top of Gold Hill, stocking cheeses with chutneys and biscuits alongside meat and pies supplied by T. Buttling, a local butcher. Bread arrives daily from Panary and from Taylors of Bruton, and cakes come from Kim's Kitchen and Lavender Blue Bakery rather than being produced off site. A small tearoom corner serves coffee, tea and hot chocolate alongside homemade quiches, sausage rolls and pies for anyone eating in. The shop also stocks store-cupboard basics: oils, spices, flour, jams, pickles and charcuterie, sourced where possible from producers in the area. It opens Monday to Saturday, 9am to 4pm, with call-and-collect or local delivery for anyone who cannot get to the High Street.
