The VillageBakery

The shop bakes a rotating range of traybakes and cakes alongside daily savoury options such as pies and filled rolls, and serves takeaway coffee to customers passing through the village centre. It is one of the few independent bakeries serving Kilmacolm directly, in a village otherwise dominated by commuter cafés and chain outlets. Trading hours run Tuesday to Saturday, with the shop closed on Sundays and Mondays. Baking is done on site for same-day sale rather than wholesale distribution. It serves a mainly local customer base doing daily and weekly shopping in the village, alongside passing trade from the nearby train station and main road through Kilmacolm.
