Walford Mill Crafts occupies a Grade II listed 18th-century mill on the River Allen at Wimborne, which opened as a craft centre in 1984 and marked its fortieth year in 2024 alongside thirty years running as the Walford Mill Education Trust charity. Working studios for resident makers sit alongside a gallery and shop where their ceramics, textiles, jewellery, print and woodwork are sold, with the exhibition programme changing through the year. The trust also runs workshops for adults and children, covering crafts from willow weaving to ceramics, taught by local and nationally recognised makers. A cafe, Little Pickle at the Mill, serves food alongside the exhibition space. The main studios and exhibition open Wednesday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm, and Sunday 11am to 4pm.
