West Wales Arts Centre has occupied 16 West Street in Fishguard since Myles Pepper acquired the building in 1987, converting it into a single gallery space known locally as Peppers. The gallery shows painting, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, textiles and jewellery by Welsh and visiting artists, with exhibitions changing through the year. Alongside its art programme, the centre hosts live jazz and serves food from the same building, a combination Pepper established from the outset. The gallery opens Tuesday to Friday, 11am to 4pm, and Saturday, 11am to 3pm, closing Sundays and Mondays. Now approaching four decades under the same ownership, it remains one of Pembrokeshire's longest-running independent galleries, operating from this one West Street address rather than a wider network of venues.
