Whichford Pottery has made terracotta pots by hand in the village of Whichford, near Shipston-on-Stour, since Jim and Dominique Keeling started the business in 1976. A team of around thirty people throw and press pots on traditional wheels, using clay produced on site from local clay sources, and visitors touring the workshop can talk to the makers at work, with potters best seen Tuesday to Thursday. The pottery's Kiln Shed runs skills workshops and courses for people who want to learn to throw, and the Octagon Shop sells finished pots, seconds, and other craft pieces. The Straw Kitchen cafe on site serves food made largely from home-grown and local ingredients.
