Whitstable Boat Trips runs from a ticket office on South Quay at Whitstable Harbour, operated by skippers with backgrounds in commercial fishing on the Thames Estuary and southern North Sea. Trips run throughout the year and include visits to the Maunsell Sea Forts, wartime anti-aircraft platforms built offshore in the Thames Estuary, alongside seal-watching trips to view the colony that gathers on the sandbanks near Whitstable. The company also runs charter fishing trips for flounder, dab, dogfish and school bass. It operates in partnership with Kent Wildlife Trust and its vessels are coded to Maritime and Coastguard Agency commercial standards.
