Bathford Nurseries

Bathford Nurseries has been run by the Norris family from its single site on Box Road since the mid-1990s, when Tony Norris's father took on the business; Tony has managed it himself since the early 2000s. The nursery stocks several hundred plants and shrubs, alongside hanging baskets replenished to order, bagged logs and kindling, decorative gravel and seasonal stock such as Christmas trees. In 2018 the family successfully saw off a landowner's application to demolish the site for housing, keeping the nursery trading in its original spot on the edge of the village. It remains a working plant nursery rather than a garden lifestyle store, serving Bathford, Batheaston and the northern edge of Bath from the one location.
