Visitors order coffee and friands at the counter before browsing curated homeware and stationery on the shop floor, with rotating exhibitions hung on the walls above. The building sits in Walcot Street's Artisan Quarter, among independent workshops and craft retailers that have defined the street since the 1960s. Palette opens Tuesday to Friday from 8:30am to 4pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm, closing Sunday and Monday. The combination of food, retail, and exhibition space makes it a stop for both a quick coffee and a longer look at contemporary design and local art.
