The FineCheese Co

The Fine Cheese Co has been Bath's serious cheesemonger for over thirty years, on Walcot Street, the city's independent quarter. Founded by Ann-Marie Dyas, who died in 2017, it matures its own cheese, sells it from a proper counter, and supplies restaurants and shops — but has never sold through a supermarket, a point of principle for a company that describes itself as an independent retailer backing other independents. There is a café alongside the shop. It is the kind of cheesemonger that keeps British and Continental farmhouse cheese in good condition and good hands. Ask for what is ripe; taste before you buy.
