Catalyst Museum

Catalyst Science Discovery Centre stands on Mersey Road in Widnes, in a Grade II listed building with riverside views towards the Mersey Gateway bridge. An accredited museum, it holds an archive of over 100,000 artefacts and records from the British chemical industry alongside interactive galleries, family science shows and a glass-walled Observatory Gallery reached by an external lift. It is a registered charity, and has been awarded £1 million from The National Lottery Heritage Fund for the Synergy Project. Cafe and shop are open without admission.
