Amy, a ceramic artist with a first-class degree in three-dimensional design, converted the former Smoke House at Castle Park Arts Centre in Frodsham into the Cheshire Pottery School in 2024. She teaches throwing and hand-building through two-hour Play with Clay sessions, six-week courses capped at twelve people, and a running Clay Club for those wanting regular studio time. A separate programme covers children from age eight, including holiday clubs and family sessions booked as private parties. Amy set up the school to make pottery teaching more accessible and affordable than she had found elsewhere, working from a single studio rather than a franchise model. The space sits within the wider Castle Park arts complex, off Fountain Lane, alongside other creative tenants. Opening hours vary by day, with the studio taking drop-in visitors on posted days rather than year-round access.
