Next Door

Next Door occupies a seventeenth-century timber-framed cottage on Frodsham's Main Street, a building that was long the butcher's shop run by the family of Vicki Nuttall, the restaurant's sommelier. Vicki and her husband Richard, the chef, opened the restaurant in spring 2017 after living next door to the building themselves, which gave the business its name. The kitchen changes its tasting menu monthly and runs a separate market menu that shifts with each day's delivery, built around whole ingredients from Cheshire and the wider British Isles. Seating is limited to a handful of tables, so the room stays quiet and the service personal. The restaurant holds three AA Rosettes and a place in the Michelin Guide. Next Door opens Wednesday to Saturday for lunch and dinner.
