CCA Derry~Londonderry is a contemporary art gallery on Artillery Street, founded in 1992 and registered as a charity under number NIC101414. The gallery grew out of the Context Gallery, which had operated inside The Playhouse, and now runs its own building across five programme strands: exhibitions, research and production, public programmes, publishing and artist residencies. Shows tend to focus on emerging artists from Northern Ireland shown alongside international peers, with a non-profit structure that keeps entry free. The gallery is open Tuesday to Saturday, noon to six, a short walk from the city walls, and its publishing arm produces catalogues and artist books to accompany each exhibition.
