Alpha StainedGlass

Alpha Stained Glass has operated as a family workshop since 1986, when Joseph Coyle began making stained glass in the attic of the family home before establishing a proper studio. His daughters Colleen and Theresa Coyle now run the business from Springtown Industrial Estate in Derry, hand-making windows and glass pieces using the traditional Tiffany and glass-painting techniques learned from their father. The workshop produces both commissioned and ready-made pieces, sold from its own studio and through Number 19 Craft & Design in the Craft Village, though the workshop itself remains a single production site. Work ranges from domestic door panels to ecclesiastical commissions, continuing a technique little changed since the business began nearly four decades ago.
