Nine Hostages Coffee Co occupies a corner unit on Waterloo Street, inside Derry's city walls. Owner Daragh McCauley opened the café, pouring speciality coffee roasted by Cadre alongside an all-day menu of brunch plates, baked goods and avocado toast. The narrow, minimalist room takes its name from Niall of the Nine Hostages, the early Irish king associated with the region. Locals and visitors use it as a stop before or after walking the walls, and staff adapt dishes for dietary requests on demand. The business is registered with Companies House NI as Nine Hostages Coffee Company Donegal Ltd, with McCauley and co-director Sinead Millar listed as officers at the Waterloo Street address.
