The Celtic Hotel occupies three combined Georgian townhouses on Guilford Street, close to Russell Square and the Foundling Museum, and has been run by the Marazzi family for three generations. The 35 rooms vary considerably in size, from small single rooms to family rooms, reflecting the layout of the original houses rather than a standardised hotel design; some rooms are en suite while others share bathroom facilities. Reception is staffed around the clock, and breakfast is served on site each morning. The hotel does not belong to any wider group; the same family previously ran another guesthouse nearby for over fifty years before relocating here. Rates are aimed at travellers wanting a straightforward, central base rather than a luxury stay, and the building's high ceilings and Georgian proportions are the main architectural draw.
