Greens Nurseries occupies New Fleenas Farm outside Nairn, where Colin and Dorothy Green settled in 1964 to farm the land before diversifying into plant growing around 1980. The nursery propagates hardy shrubs, herbaceous perennials and bedding plants suited to the Moray coast's growing conditions, selling directly from its polytunnels and outdoor beds. The business has passed to the next generation, with Donald Green now running the nursery alongside his wife Julie and their daughters Laura and Stephanie, maintaining it as a single family-run site rather than a chain operation. Visitors can buy plants grown on site as well as pots, compost and gardening sundries, and the nursery continues to trade from the same farm the Green family has worked for six decades.
