Marjorie Leonard's studio gallery occupies unit 4 of the Buttermarket, a restored early-19th-century courtyard market building in the centre of Enniskillen. Leonard was born and educated in County Fermanagh and studied art at the University of Ulster in Belfast, graduating with a B.A. Honours degree before returning to paint the county she grew up in. She works mainly in watercolour, and her paintings of the lakes, fields and skies around Lough Erne form the bulk of the gallery's stock. She is a member of the Ulster Watercolour Society and has exhibited with the Royal Ulster Academy, with her work held in collections in Ireland and abroad. The gallery sells original watercolours, miniature paintings, limited-edition prints and greeting cards, and takes commissions for landscape paintings. It operates as a single-artist studio rather than a multi-artist gallery, with Leonard on site to meet visitors and discuss commissions during opening hours, which are best confirmed in advance by phone or through the gallery's website.
