The Mosset Tavern occupies a converted building on Gordon Street in Forres that previously served as a mill, the town laundry, a joiner's yard and an undertaker's before becoming a pub in 1973. It is now run by husband and wife Gordon and Melissa Brailsford as a family business, combining a public bar with a dining room and a function suite used for weddings and other events. The bar stocks six real ale pumps alongside a whisky selection running past eighty malts, plus a range of cocktails and Scottish gins. Food service includes a Sunday carvery with a choice of four roasts, a Friday steak and wine offer, and a Monday lunch club aimed at older customers. The tavern also lets Burngreen House, a self-catering property on the grounds that sleeps up to nine. It draws a mix of locals and visitors travelling the whisky trail, and has built a reputation locally for its carvery and its handling of large group bookings.
