Mynd House occupies an Edwardian villa built in 1902 as a country retreat, standing in Little Stretton beneath the Long Mynd, and is run today by Liz and Jeff Main. The eight guest rooms take their names from the surrounding hills and villages — Ragleth, Lawley, Burway and Caradoc among them — and a licensed honesty bar called the Bar on the Hill serves residents through the evening. Breakfast uses locally sourced ingredients, packed lunches can be ordered for the hill ahead, and there is secure storage for boots and bikes. Two village pubs, the Ragleth and the Green Dragon, are a walk away, and the house organises its own guided walking holidays.
