At Marshbrook, south of Church Stretton, this family-run outdoor centre has grown over some twenty years from a roadside pub into a base for cycling in the Shropshire Hills. The core of it is a well-stocked bike shop and workshop offering hire of mountain, road, family and electric bikes, charged by the half or full day, with a breakdown service for riders heading onto the surrounding trails. On the same site are a cafe, a bike wash, camping pods and a campsite, giving walkers and cyclists a single place to refuel and stay. It sits at the foot of the Long Mynd and Wenlock Edge routes, with waymarked trails from the door and skills and leadership courses run from the centre. Owned and run locally rather than as a chain, it is geared to getting people out on two wheels.
