R. Brown& Son

R. Brown & Son has served Stenhousemuir from 23 Hallam Road since 1968, sourcing beef, lamb, pork, chicken and bacon from local farmers for its counter. The shop dry-ages its own beef and makes sausages, burgers, cooked meats and a range of pies and pastries in its own bake shop, alongside game and venison in season. Its venison and juniper burgers and its dry cure bacon burgers have each taken gold medals in Scottish craft butchers' competitions. The shop also stocks dairy products, sauces and condiments, and runs a click-and-collect and home delivery service on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 10am. Now in its second generation of family ownership, the business continues to trade from the same Hallam Road premises it has occupied since the 1960s, serving the Stenhousemuir and wider Falkirk area. Open Monday to Friday 7am to 4.30pm, Saturday 6.30am to 4pm; closed Sunday.
