Roman Way Brewery is a micro-brewery operating from Unit 79 of the Old Depot in Weedon Bec, a former Royal Ordnance Depot beside the Grand Union Canal near Daventry. Founded in 2019, the brewery hand-brews cask and bottled real ale in small batches, taking its name and many of its beer names from Watling Street, the Roman road that runs close by. A taproom and shop on site open to the public on Fridays and Saturdays, with beer also supplied direct to free houses and bottle shops across Northamptonshire. The canalside depot setting, shared with other small independent businesses, gives the brewery a courtyard feel rather than an industrial estate one, and the taproom hosts occasional food stalls and live music alongside its regular pours.
